dc.description.abstract | The article contains deliberations on the essence of the teaching profession and teachers’ professional development. The author assumes that a significant number of people from different social groups, as well as among teachers themselves, are unclear about the nature of the teaching profession, which results in a misunderstanding of teachers and their work by society, including the politicians deciding upon the shape of education. The solution to this situation is proper understanding of the essence of teachers’ professional development, since, according to the author, this translates into a true image of the teaching profession. | en_US |
