| dc.description | The aim of this paper is an attempt to reconstruct the recommendations made to parents, especially mothers,
minders and nannies of youngest children (up to 3 years old) in the care of their hygiene and health. The basis
of its findings is literature of a handbook, on health and hygiene, and education of the child, published on
the Polish territory in the early twentieth century. As is clear from its findings, the themes related to the care
of health and hygiene of children was relatively frequently addressed in the pages of how-analyzed in all the
three annexed territories. Journalists, realizing the importance of the issue a concern for the health of children
was which, have often devoted separate chapters or subsections of their works to these issues.
It should be emphasized that the content of advice is very rich and diverse. These related issues have proper
hygiene of pregnancy, childbirth, the underlying health of the child care and infant care and infant and toddler.
It was pointed out how to proceed in the field of child nutrition, clothing, care for the cleanliness of the body,
it was suggested as a toddler temper, recommended physical movement and fun on the air, tells you how
to decorate the children’s room. In guidance literature about health and child care recommended appropriate

| dc.description.abstract | Celem niniejszego artykułu jest próba rekonstrukcji zaleceń kierowanych do rodziców, szczególnie matek,
a także opiekunek i piastunek najmłodszych dzieci ( do 3 roku życia) w zakresie troski o ich higienę i zdrowie.
Podstawę źródłową dokonanych ustaleń stanowi literatura o charakterze poradnikowym, dotycząca
zdrowia i higieny, a także edukacji dziecka, opublikowana na terenie ziem polskich na początku wieku XX.
Jak wynika z dokonanych ustaleń, tematyka związana z troską o zdrowie i higienę dzieci była stosunkowo
często poruszana w analizowanych poradnikach na terenie wszystkich trzech zaborów. Publicyści, zdając
sobie sprawę z wagi zagadnienia, jakim była troska o zdrowie dzieci, często problematyce tej poświęcali
osobne rozdziały czy podrozdziały swoich prac. Podkreślić należy, że treść porad jest bardzo bogata i różnorodna.
Dotyczyły one zagadnień związanych z właściwą higieną okresu ciąży, porodu, będących podstawą
zdrowia dziecka, pielęgnacji i opieki nad noworodkiem i niemowlęciem, a także dzieckiem w okresie poniemowlęcym.
Wskazywano, jak należy postępować w dziedzinie żywienia dziecka, ubioru, troski o czystość
ciała, sugerowano, jak hartować malucha, zalecano ruch fizyczny i zabawy na powietrzu, podpowiadano, jak
urządzić pokój dziecinny. W literaturze poradnikowej z zakresu zdrowia i higieny dziecka zalecano odpowiednie
postępowanie w każdej niemal chorobie małego dziecka. | en_US |
