| dc.description | “My children’s childhood” is a yet unpublished collection of memories by Teresa Górska (1989 – 1990; family
name Plater Zyberk), the wife of Jan Górski – the co-owner of the land property in Kamienica in Tuchola
district. The memories date back to years from 1928 to 1934. They were written down between 1978
and 1980. They constitute a unique source of research and knowledge about the lives of gentry families
in Pomerania in the twenty-year period between the First and the Second World Wars. The main heroes of
the memories are the author’s children (Krystyna and Jerzy) and their first years of life. The author recalled
humorous situations connected with her children’s first steps, spoken words, curious questions; as well as
all the worries and dilemmas which are typical of upbringing. She presented her own and her husband’s
processes of getting mature enough to become parents taking into account the more general, Pomeranian
social-economic-cultural reality. “My children’s childhood” is not only a source of learning about the past, but it is also a document which
should be taken into consideration when it comes to launching local education and entertainment projects
which aim to develop identities of place, individuals and communities. | en_US |

(1898-1990), żony Jana Górskiego – współwłaściciela majątku ziemskiego Kamienica w powiecie tucholskim.
Obejmują lata 1928-1934. Spisane zostały w latach 1978-1980. Stanowią unikalne źródło badawczopoznawcze
dotyczące dziejów rodzin ziemiańskich na Pomorzu w okresie dwudziestolecia międzywojennego.
Autorka głównymi bohaterami zapisków czyni swoje dzieci (Krystynę i Jerzego) utrwalając dla potomnych
ich pierwsze lata życia. Przywołuje zabawne sytuacje związane z pierwszymi krokami, wypowiadanymi słowami,
ciekawymi zapytaniami, jak również towarzyszącymi wychowaniu troskami, dylematami, obawami.
Swoje i męża „dojrzewanie” do rodzicielstwa ukazuje na szerszym, społeczno-gospodarczo-kulturowym, tle
ówczesnej pomorskiej rzeczywistości.
Dzieciństwo moich dzieci to nie tylko źródło poznania przeszłości, to także dokument stanowiący ważny
przyczynek do podejmowania działań edukacyjnych i animacyjnych w środowisku lokalnym, których celem
jest budowanie tożsamości miejsca, jednostek i społeczności. | en_US |
