Abstract

The article analyzes local conflicts that mobilise the residents to stand for Common interests in their neighborhood. Residential associations carry on the actions that serve their own needs in terms of development of public space, they organize marches and demonstrations, protest against putting down the Schools or force the local authorities to invest in the infrastructure. Such conflicts engage people and often become the driving force to mobilize the local community. However, it raises the question about the quality and the consequences of such a commitment. Could the activity in such associations be regarded as an indication of citizenship?
