dc.description.abstract | Cultural identity is recognised as the most important type of collective identity. Andrzej Koszewski’s choral activity reflects invariably topical values which are crucial from our national heritage standpoint. their presence allows the recognition of Koszewski as a Polish composer. Polish elements such as indigenous folklore, religious themes as well as themes connected with major historical events can be found in his works. Koszewski dedicated many of his compositions to eminent Poles. Koszewski’s musical language represents avant-garde trend refered to as sonorism – one of the most important concepts of 20th century Polish music. | en_US |
