Muzyka w mediach - szansa czy zagrożenie dla edukacji i kultury muzycznej narodu

Abstract

The development of culture and its transmission is carried out via media. Educational functions of those two institutions are not mutually exclusive but can complement each other within their capabilities. Present media oriented towards commercial entertainment can be treated as being responsible for serious educational function for the audience. However, school education for the contact with the media is limited with time and possible only in case of students not for adult society. Such situation generates a question: are media a chance or threat for our education and musical culture? the following article is an attempt to answer this question.
