Previous studies indicated that poverty was linked to lower quality of life. The aim of this study is to answer on the following question: do children from families with low financial status differ in quality of life, emotions and mood from children living in families with average income? We also tested differences between children living in the city and in the countryside. 129 children aged 12-14 participated in the study. Children from families with low financial status evaluated their quality of life higher, and felt more happiness and love, as well as more positive in mood. Children from the city felt more fear than children living in the country. There were no statistically significant differences between children living in the city and country areas in quality of life and mood.en_US
