Abstract

The purpose of this article is the presentation of basic techniques of diagnosis of alcohol dependence. Among the patients who come to a physician the possibility exists that some of the patients might suffer from alcohol dependence. The early intervention may be helpful, because the advance of alcohol dependence causes a lot of difficulties in efficient treatment. Different techniques of assessment are presented and their reliability is evaluated.
