Rola trzech wymiarów przywiązania do organizacji na różnych etapach procesu podejmowanie szkoleń
Streszczenie
The paper presents empirical study which attempts to explain the relationships between employees’ organizational commitment and their initiation of trainings. Initiation of training activity can be understood as a goal realization process and explained by using goal theories. Three phases of the process are analyzed: intention to undertake training, plan formulation, and actual training participation. Data from 202 employees were collected in a 3-month two-wave study. The findings show that each of the three dimensions of organizational commitment demonstrates different relationships with the phases of training initiation process. Continuance commitment is negatively, however weakly, correlated with all three phases of the process, normative commitment is unrelated, and affective commitment is positively correlated with intention to undertake training in the group of
employees with less seniority. Organization size and employee seniority are significant moderators of some of analysed relationships.
