Critical discourse analysis (CAD) is the methodology which allows to combine the attitude characterictic to social science (for instance: sociology, psychology and pedagogy) with the attitude represented by such linguistic disciplines like discourse analysis. This article reveals that thanks to CAD the individual elements of educational discourse can be studied, for example: educational documents and textbooks and the interaction between a student and a teacher. It enables to disclose persuasive and manipulative forms applied in educational discourse and to establish to what cultural patterns, hidden programmes and myths next student generations are induced.
