Streszczenie
It has been argued that personhood development needs different aspects of cognitive capacity (intelligence, morality, wisdom) to a different degree at different ages. The Cracow cross - sectional study on cognitive development seems to have made this claim empirically grounded (Niemczynski. Olejnik, 1991).The data pertaining to it was obtained with the batteries of "psychometric" and "piagetian" intelligence tests. with the Kohlberg's Moral Judgment Interview, and with Niemczynski's Biographical Judgment Interview. The idea about cognition viewed as an organizer of the human individual personhood formation goes parallel to the interactionistic, holistic view on human development (Magnusson, 1990.1993 ). This view has some methodological consequences, though. It advocates rather "person" than "variable" approach. Due to the fact that in our original analyses we used the "variable" approach we decided to re - analyze the data using rnethods relevant to the .,person" approach. The preliminary results of the new analysis seem to confirm the original claim.
