In this article the author looks at the role of territorial marketing by local government for regional development. He explained the concept of marketing. Presented the main instruments of marketing. also made an attempt to determine the orientation of marketing management by local governments. He also pointed to the need for this orientation in the market economy, where they also have to take new challenges in this, such as competition.
