dc.description.abstract | Undoubtedly, within the highly civilised cultures, having meals ceased to merely be the act of satisfying one’s hunger many years ago. This state of things is definitely proved by the increasingly dynamic development of the widely-understood culinary art, including ritualization and celebration of the act of eating, or extreme examples of valuing food in plus, like admiring, fetishizing and sacralising it. In this context it is not surprising that paying visits to restaurants, cafes, bars, bistros, etc. has been a vastly popular way of spending one’s free time. The aim of this article is – generally speaking – to analyse the proper names of eating places constituting the culinary map of Krajna, in the formal-semantic manner. The conducted research took into account several criteria: construction, origin, and the way of nominating. The results showed that among the proper names of Krajna there dominate: simple structures (one-element ones) (61%), native and adapted foreign units (70.7%) and the names that had been shifted (transpositioned, translocated) (97.6%). At the same time the numbers of proper nouns derived from appellatives and proper substantives derived from other nomina propria are similar (45.5% and 43.9%). | en_US |
