| dc.description.abstract | A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging the physical attributes of the contestants, their personality, intelligence, talent or knowledge. Today the male beauty pageants are popular in many countries. In this article the names of the Polish and international male beauty pageants are analyzed. The aim is to show the structure of the onyms and the groups of lexeme motivated the names. The analysis shows that the names consist most of ten of two or three elements and include lexeme related to manhood, internationalism or being a part of the specific group, for example model or deaf. | en_US |
