dc.description.abstract | In the era of silent movie there were presented on the screen personnages as known from literature. Don Juan was one who couldn’t failed to show up among them. He appeared mainly in the movies from Hispanic and European movies and, what is interesting, the almost forgotten works by José Zorrila, Otto Anthes or Christian Grabbe were being used as models for the main character instead ofvery well known ones by Tirso de Molina, Moliere or Byron. The personage ofmovie séducteur was created according to the rules of adventure genres. This model was changed as late as in the era ofsound movie. In the article the most typical of Don Juan’s interpretations from before the sound movie have been discussed. | en_US |
