The guidelines of the European Society of Hyperbaric Medicine, the Society of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine and the National Health Fund Polish Republic on a hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) in 2013

Abstract

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a rapidly developing branch of medicine. In recent centuries, the prototype underwent hyperbaric chamber only mild modification. Initially, HBOT was designed for patients Pulmonary Hospital, divers and miners. As the years passed indications for hyperbaric therapy are becoming more numerous. Every year, the European Society of Hyperbaric Medicine, the Society of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine and the National Health Fund of the Republic of Polish show indications and contraindications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The paper presents the indications and contraindications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy for 2013.
