Abstract

The paper presents the results of research on the development of time perspectives in adolescence. The results show that temporal extension of the past perspective does not change significantly during adolescence. The border point between the past and the present is located at the beginning of sexual maturity. The results also show that the development of time perspectives influence forming identity, and on life planning and expectations concerning personal future as well as the future of the world.
