Abstract

The article presents the outline of the most important data on of the kujawsko-pomorskie province. Particular attention is paid to the social and economic potential. The kujawsko-pomorskie province on the background of other Polish regions has a small surface and a small number of the population. This affects development opportunities, which takes on a national scale. Discussed the settlement network, the potential for demographic, social and economic capital, and technical infrastructure (especially transport). Presents the main directions of the development of the province, as well as opportunities and the possibility of raising the attractiveness of the region.
