dc.description.abstract The school, as an area of major social and cultural influences, is a source of impulses for the development of intellectual as well as social and emotional abilities of a child. The paper focuses on selected areas of the educational space which provide favorable environment for supporting a child in obtaining competencies exceeding a given subject. There is every reason to believe that school should be organized around the competencies of children, ensuring them independence understood in terms of place, time, and people with whom he or she will create the learning environment to match the current needs and possibilities. en_US
