Odzwierciedlenie jakości wód w atrakcyjności turystycznej Zbiornika Koronowskiego
Streszczenie
Koronowski Reservoir was created in the 60-ies of XX century by soil dam on the 49.115 km of the Brda River. The surface, while normal backing up level - 81.5 m above sea, amounts to 1600 hectares and a volume of 81.0 million m3. Since the beginning of its existence on the shores was strong developed recreational function of the waters. There were created many tourist resorts, including Pieczyska, Sokole Kuznica and Samociazek. Due to the special natural qualities there was formed the Protected Landscape Area of Kornowski Reservoir. The main aim of the research was to show the influence of chosen elements of water quality on the tourist attractiveness of reservoir. For the analysis were selected the basic indicators for assessing ecological potential of water: transparency, chlorophyll "a" and taxonomic composition of phytoplankton. Due to the strong morphometric fragmentation of reservoir two zones were distinguished by limnic and fluvial character. Limnic zones are characterized by a higher biological production of phytoplankton than fluvial zones. This is accompanied by a significant reduction of the range of photic zone. These processes are reflected in the final assessment of the ecological potential. This contributes to the failure of achieving the environmental objectives for surface water body of Koronowski Reservoir.
