Dowcip językowy w listach Marii z Kossaków Jasnorzewskiej do męża: współczesna recepcja

Abstract

The source of linguistic material, used in this article, is a publication entitled Maria z Kossaków Jasnorzewska. “Listy do przyjaciół i korespondencja z mężem (1928-1945)”. Examples of linguistic humor, derived only from Maria’s letters to her husband - Stefan, were presented against the background of theory of comedy, humor and wit. The article demonstrates numerous cases illustrating the debated issue in regards of antroponimic modifications (based on surnames), phraseological modifications, formal styling (including references to other texts), graphical form, paradigm and humorous neosemantisms and neologisms.
