Biblioteka Uniwersytetu Kazimierza Wielkiego w Bydgoszczy w nowym gmachu

Abstract

On October 1st 2013 the Library of Kazimierz Wielki University began operating in a new building financed by European Union. The architects, in cooperation with librarians, ensured functionality and good study environment. The building offers: different kinds of workspaces, computer terminals, easy access to the most looked-for materials in the open stacks area, individual and group work rooms, exhibition space, well equipped conference room, several classrooms, course rooms, social spaces with comfortable sitting areas. The building is also a place friendly to people with disabilities. The library strives to provide new services, to become “the third place”.
