Abstract

Article characterizes U.S. policy towards Afghanistan in the years 1945-1963. The author shows the motives ofaction ofthe next U.S. governments in Afghanistan, as well as the barriers that stand in the way of closer relations between the two countries. The article characterizes the action ofthe United States towards Afghanistan in the diplomatic, economic and military sphere. The analysis is carried out taking into account the international context which plays crucial role.
