Abstract

In modern industrialized societies, young people have a longer period of "freedom" from the responsibilities of the adults, in which they prepare themselves for the challenges of taking on adult tasks and roles. These challenges are directed a t realizing the value of the subject, whose source is culture. The question is what are the most significant criteria for adulthood in post-modern times and do they relate to the sense of well-being. The considerations presented in this text are an attempt to answer this question.
