Abstract

The industrial zone is a relatively new institution in the Polish environmental law. Its actual use is still low. An important issue is the legal nature of the resolution establishing the zone. In my view it should be classified as an act of local law i.e. the source of universally binding law. This would allow the qualification of the zones as ‘special areas.’
