Antoni Gliszczyński i jego prekursorska polska prasa w Bydgoszczy w dobie zaborów
Streszczenie
Prefect of the Bydgoszcz Department of the Duchy of Warsaw Antoni Gliszczynski was the
precursor of Polish press in Bydgoszcz. In 1808, he established ”Dziennik Doniesień Rządowych i Prywatnych Departamentu Bydgoskiego za Pozwoleniem Rządu” („The Daily of Government and Private Reports of the Bydgoszcz Department with the Government’s Permission”). It was a paper, which published legal acts passed at that time, as well as popular and economic news. In 1811, the paper’s name was changed into ”Dziennik Tygodniowy Departamentu Bydgoskiego” (“Weekly Paper of the Bydgoszcz Department”) and was published with breaks until 1815. In the years 1809–1810, prefect Gliszczynski published ”Gazeta Bydgoska” (“Bydgoszcz Gazette”). As opposed to its predecessor, ”Gazeta Bydgoska” had all the features of general information press and was the first local gazette in Bydgoszcz.
