| dc.description | Human being is the only one that is aware of its mortality. Habitually we avoid discussion on the topic of
death. This matter becomes even more taboo when it comes to talking about it with children. They are, on
the one hand, protected from any kind of reflection on the topic of death, and on the other hand, flooded by
images of death from movies and computer games. Between chronical silence and unnatural images of death
that are presented in modern popculture, there should be a source in which our children and youth could find
an answer for their existential questions. This source should be school education. This article is a voice in a
discussion on necessity of including tanatho-pedagogical topics in the education of children, so a theme that
holds such an importance in human existence could help them in defining themselves and human life and
finding meaning in it. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Człowiek jako jedyny jest świadomy swojej śmiertelności. Zwyczajowo unikamy dyskusji na temat śmierci.
Tabuizacją jeszcze bardziej obejmujemy dzieci. Dzieci z jednej strony są chronione przed jakąkolwiek refleksją
na temat śmierci a z drugiej zalewają je obrazy śmierci z filmów i gier komputerowych. Pomiędzy chroniącym
milczeniem a wynaturzonym obrazem śmierci prezentowanym przez współczesną kulturę powinno
pojawić się źródło, w którym znajdzie się odpowiedź na pytania egzystencjalne dzieci i młodzieży. Źródłem
tym powinna być między innymi edukacja szkolna. Artykuł jest głosem w dyskusji na temat konieczności
uwzględnienia zagadnień tanatopedagogicznych w edukacji dzieci, po to aby tak ważne zagadnienie dla
ludzkiej egzystencji pomagało definiować i siebie i ludzkie życie poprzez nadawanie mu sensu. | en_US |
