Malarstwo i muzyka jako elementy tożsamości w liryce Anny Frajlich
Streszczenie
Anna Frajlich is a representative of emigrants who left Poland following the events of March 1968. An important aspect of her poetry is art which plays a crucial role with regard to memory, a special element of an emigrant's identity. These references, studied from the perspective of memory situated by anthropologists, for instance, within the scope of figures of oblivion, enable determining the role of autobiographi cal and cultural memory and correlations between them. By identifying three forms of figures of oblivion (return, suspension and rebiginning) Augé indicates their pres ence in art. As far as Frajlich's lyric poetry is concerned, the relation between these figures is clear and is a testimony of taking root in a new place and culture. Painting and music follow the trail of „third value" (Mostwin), a merger of the past and the present. In Frajlich's poetry these arts are gradually freed from the role of a symbol of endurance indispensable for determining identity and become a source of aesthetic experiences. Traces of references to painting and music in poems demonstrate that this strategy, which is evolving together with the artist, proved to be not only an ef fective way to maintain the feeling of sense of one's existence, but also an important poetic inspiration and an aesthetic experience.
