Ostatni poeta awangardy : Kazimierza Hoffmana filozofia poetyckiego słowa

Abstract

The author analyses Kazimierz Hoffman’s poetic techniques and his concept of a literary work of art. His writings belong to the avant-garde of contemporary poetry. The poet’s formula of a poem together with his definition of such notions as ‘form’ and ‘fragment’ are considered here, as well as the concept of ‘open’ poem. The function of such artistic means as metaphor, intertextual elements like quotations, footnotes explaining the meaning are analyzed to justify the place of the poetry on the background of Polish lyric writings in the second half of the 20th century.
