Abstract

Particular protection ofthe President ofthe Republic of Poland provided by criminal law encompasses their life, physical security and their reputation. The first of these interests, the life ofthe President ofthe Republic of Poland, is under protection according to Article 134 of the current penal code, which criminalizes attempt on their life under penalty ofimprisonment for no fewer than 12 years, the penalty of 25 years’ imprisonment, or life imprisonment. The subject of protection provided by this regulation is the life of a person being the current President ofthe Republic of Poland, as well as both internal and external state security. This crime is a felony that may be committed intentionally with both direct and oblique intent. The definition includes instances of both successful and failed attempts, and consequently is a particular kind oftreatment ofthe crime of homicide.
