dc.description.abstractElastic properties of the face and core layers of commercial three-layer particleboards were examined. The method of compressing the block specimens glued from strips of layers separated from boards, and measuring specimen deformations by the electric resistance strain gauge technique was used. The layers were assumed to be orthotropic materials and the set of elastic constants were determined for both the face and core layers.en_US
