Cerebellopontine angle meningioma - case report

Abstract

Meningiomas are some of the most frequently occurring initial hyperplastic processes. It is estimated that they are ok. 30% of all CNS tumors in adults. Mostly locate in the vicinity of the sickle of the brain. Presence in the area of cerebellopontine angle is estimated by various sources at 5-10%. For the most part these are the modifications of a mild, where radical neurosurgical treatment gives a complete cure. The authors present a clinical case history of the patient treated at operating in Cathedral and Clinic of Neurosurgery Collegium Medicum, Nicolaus Copernicus University (Department of Neurosurgery and Neurotraumatology Nicolaus Copernicus University, Collegium Medicum) in Bydgoszcz with recognized in the study of histo-pathological meningiomaof location in the cerebellopontine angle.
