<title>Formative function of assessment in a psycho-didactical context</title>
<link>https://repozytorium.ukw.edu.pl///handle/item/1253</link>
<description>Formative function of assessment in a psycho-didactical context
Kosíková, Věra; Liberska, Hanna; Farnicka, Marzanna
This contribution focuses on the formative function of assessment. The assessment of a student continuously informs about his or her performance, whereby it improves upon his or her learning processes. The formative function of assessment is mainly achieved by feedback resulting from the student‘s performance. This contribution focuses on selected aspects of the formative function of assessment, on the concordance of teaching and assessment goals (and processes) from the perspective of their formulation and the assessment criteria, on the examination of the understanding of the taught subject from the perspective of adopting concepts and their correctness during evaluation, on the didactic approach when working with errors while analyzing the student‘s performance.

<title>Poza Wielką Piątkę – przegląd nowych modeli struktury osobowości</title>

<description>Poza Wielką Piątkę – przegląd nowych modeli struktury osobowości
Strus, Włodzimierz; Cieciuch, Jan
The paper is a review of current discussion on the Big Five model and new proposals of personality structure description. The discussion concerns three main claims of the Big Five model: (1) the claim about number of&#13;
basic traits; (2) the claim about the organization of lower-level traits and (2) the claim about relations between the basic traits. Critique of each claim has led to a counterproposal that describes the personality structure in a different way. Critique of the first assumption is supported by the proposal of increasing to six number of basic traits in the HEXACO model (Ashton, Lee, 2001, 2007). Critique of the second assumption is supported by the proposals of different lower-traits organization. The Abridged Big Five Dimensional Circumplex (Hofstee, De Raad, Goldberg, 1992; Goldberg, 1999) and the model of 10 aspects located between the basic five traits and their facets (DeYoung, Quilty, Peterson, 2007) there are reviewed in the paper. The critique of the third assumption argues that the five traits are not orthogonal and the systematical relations between them can be explained by two higher-order factors (Digman, 1997; DeYoung, Peterson, Higgins, 2002) or even one General Factor of Personality (Musek, 2007; Rushton, Irving, 2011).

The aim of the study was to verify the hypothesis that parenting styles (especially democratic and autocratic styles) may be variables that mediate in the relationship between the number of siblings and shaping certain personality traits and social skills in children’s development. The study involved over 300 people divided into three groups: those who have one brother or sister, those who have several siblings and only children. Over 100 people were tested in each group. The following measuring tools were used: the Social Competence Questionnaire by A. Matczak, the Parenting Styles Questionnaire by M. Ryś, and the NEO-FFI questionnaire by P.T. Costa and R.R. McCrae (in Polish adaptation by B. Zawadzki, J. Strelau, P. Szczepaniak, M. Śliwińska). The impact of the number of siblings on the functioning and social competence and personality of the respondents is mediated by both democratic (positive) and autocratic (negative) attitudes of mothers (proximal mediator - close to exogenous variable, here: the number of siblings), as well as by the attitude of fathers, which is a distal (indirect) mediator, although closely related to the attitudes of mothers, Mothers’ attitudes also proved to be a mediator in the relationship between the number of siblings and the attitudes of fathers.

<description>Percepcja relacji rodzinnych a cechy temperamentu u młodzieży z rodzin migracyjnych
Michałek, Justyna; Rostowska, Teresa
The aim of this paper is to analyse the differences between perceived family relationships by adolescents from migrant and nonmigrant families and their temperamental traits. In the study 152 adolescents participated, aged 18 years, who formed two groups: criterial and control group in each of them were 46 girls and 30 boys. The following measures were used in the study: Family Relationship Questionnaire (KRR) (Plopa, Polomski, 2008), Buss and Plomin EAS Temperament Questionnaire (Polish adaptation, Oniszczenko, 1997), interview questionnaire prepared by authors to collect demographic data and information about parent's migration. The results of the study showed that girls from migrant families declare higher levels of sociability and fear, while the boys from families of this type are characterized by higher levels of anger. Moreover, results showed gender&#13;
differences in perception of family relationships. It was found that girls from families with migrating father perceive a higher level of family communication, cohesion and family identity compared with boys from such families. The above results are not observed in the control group. The results also show the importance of family environment on temperament traits in adolescents from migrant families, which is not observed in the control group (except for the activity).
